The Club is housed in within the walls of two
adjoining properties. It covers a large area, over two floors and is
divided into a number of rooms and floor-spaces.
The Main Bar hosts the Club's entertainment and
is a large air-conditioned area furnished with comfortable sofas and
armchairs. It has a long bar area allowing for easy access when ordering
drinks. This bar also has number of gaming machines, paying jackpots
of up to £250. At the rear of the building, the Main Bar drops
down into a slightly secluded area allowing for a more intimate atmosphere.
Situated at the back of the Club, between the
Main Bar and the restaurant, the Lower Bar offers a slightly smaller
and quieter air-conditioned area a little way away from the entertainment
on Saturdays.
The Cottage Lounge which serves as the restaurant
of the Club has recently undergone renovation. New kitchen facilities
have also been installed and notice of future services will be announced
in the Club and on the Whats On and Food And Drink pages of this web
site. The Lounge is popular for holding events and parties, as it has
a large open space for gatherings and buffets, and is very close to
the bar.
The Churchill Room on the first floor at the
front of the Club is used as a games room. It houses the pool table
and the dart board. Although upstairs, it is only a short walk to the
Main Bar an other facilities. The Churchill Room can also be let for
private functions and parties.
Located on the first floor of the Cottage (above
the Lounge area), The Lady Hamilton Room provides a secluded area where
people can gather away from the hustle of the main club for meetings
or seminars. It can also be let for private functions and parties. The
first floor also has washroom and simple kitchen facilities.
The Committee Room is on the first floor at the
back of the Club. It has a large conference table housed in splendid
surroundings. The Committee Room is not normally available for private
functions, however it may be booked by members for the purpose of meetings.
At the front of the Cottage, the Club provides
an outdoor area for members and guests to enjoy the fresh-air. The Terrace
is secluded from the main road and not part of the Smoking Area. It
provides a pleasent seated alternative to the Club's interior. Families
are very welcome to make use of this area.
To cater for our members and visitors who smoke
we provide a discrete smoking area (Robbie's Grotto). It is heated and
covered to shield smokers from the elements and has seating and tables
to provide smokers with a comfortable area. A popular addition to the
Club, it allows smokers to socialise and smoke at their leisure. Indeed
it's popularity can be attested by the number of non-smokers who join
their smoking friends outside.
The Club provides secure wireless internet access for its members free of charge.
